Motorcyclist seriously injured after crash on I-74

PEORIA (25News Now) – One person was injured after a motorcycle crash on Interstate 74 westbound in Peoria Friday night.

Illinois State Police said the accident occurred near the Knoxville Avenue exit around 6:45 p.m. Friday.

There the police found the overturned motorcycle on the shoulder.

The driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

I-74 westbound was closed for nearly 20 minutes due to the crash.
