Man seriously injured after stabbing in Maine

A man was in critical condition after being stabbed at a home in Palmyra early Friday morning.

Man was stabbed and seriously injured

The stabbing happened around 3 a.m. at 482 Madawaska Road, the Maine State Bureau of Investigation and the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office said.

Victim in critical condition

The victim was seriously injured and taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. His condition was listed as critical. Name and age were not disclosed.

“No danger to the public”

“There is no known danger to the public,” said Shannon Moss, public information officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.

Road closed for hours

Madawaska Road was closed for hours as evidence was collected and an investigation began.
