21-year-old motorcyclist killed in collision in Elwood

A motorcyclist from Huntington was killed after colliding with a car on Jericho Turnpike in Elwood on Friday, according to police.

According to authorities, 21-year-old Alexis Ascencio Luna was riding his motorcycle eastbound around 3:40 p.m. when he hit a Toyota that was turning left into a driveway.

His death was pronounced at the scene and the driver of the Toyota was taken to hospital.

According to police, the driver has since been released.
