Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom: The Fate of the Zora Child – Side Quest – Location of the Dark Fish

Where can I find the side quest “The Fate of the Zora Child”?

You can pick up The Zora Child’s Fate in the Jabul Waters region once you clear the Stilled Upper Zora River Rift during the main quest “Chaos at the River Zora Village.”

Once you’ve repaired the rift and rescued the Zora child, head to the house directly above the River Zora Village waypoint. Then you find a little River Zora who looks a bit scared. Talk to him to find out that his mother is acting a little strange and staring at the pool at the family home. Sounds like we need to go in and help.

The house is directly to the left of the building the child is standing next to. Enter it to find Zora’s mother.

The side quest “The Fate of the Zora Child” – solution and rewards

Talk to the mother and she will tell you that she needs help finding monsters. She wants you to bring three different monsters and throw them into the pool in front of her. However, she doesn’t ask you the name of the monster, but gives you a little hint.

We’ve listed all three monsters you need to get and their locations below. It turns out that the mother was just trying to make her son a wizard!

Her reward for giving her all three monsters is a pretty heartwarming scene between mother and son and the Zora Scale accessory.

A dark fish

The first echo that the Mother of the River Zora wants to see is a “sinister fish.” There are many scary-looking fish in the Jabul waters, but the fish she wants to see is the most common of all.

You need one Tangler Echo. This is an orange fish that you can find throughout Zora Cove, the large ocean south of Seesyde Village.

Monster that goes BOOM

Next, you’ll be asked to bring a “monster that goes BOOM when anyone comes near it.”

That is a Bombfish Echowhich you get naturally when you go through the main quest “The Jabul Water Rift”. In fact, you should have gotten one during the Stilled Upper Zora River Rift. You can also get one in the cave as part of the main quest “Rampage in Zora Cove”.

Shocking jellyfish monster

The last fish monster the Zora mother wants to see is a “shocking jellyfish monster,” which is the easiest to identify.

The Biri Echo is what you’re looking for and this is another one you should find in Zora Cove. They are difficult to get to as they give off electric shocks when approached. So you have to rely on other sea-dwelling Echoes to fight them for you.
