R. Kelly “vehemently denies” sexually abusing his daughter as a child amid shocking new allegations

Buku Abi (born Joann Kelly), daughter of R&B King R. Kellysent royal shockwaves through the internet on Friday (October 11th) when she claimed the troubled singer sexually abused her when she was just eight years old.

And while the elder Kelly is currently serving a 30-year sentence for sex trafficking and a concurrent 20-year sentence for luring minors into sex, he quickly broke his silence on Abi’s shocking accusation.

See what he said in it.

In episode 1 of the recently premiered two-episode documentary on TVEI Streaming Network “Karma: A Daughter’s Journey” Buku made jaws drop with her disturbing allegations against her GRAMMY-winning father.

“I just remember waking up to him touching me.” she shared. “And I didn’t know what to do, so I just laid there and pretended to be asleep.”

She claims the sexual abuse occurred as early as age 8 and says she was 10 when she finally told her mother: Andrea Kelly – about the alleged incidents. Andrea then reportedly filed a “Jane Doe” complaint with law enforcement.

“She [the authorities] I couldn’t prosecute him because I waited too long. At that point in my life I felt like I had said something for nothing.” Abi said.

As the clip gained traction, R. Kelly issued a statement through his attorney Jennifer Bonjean.

“Mr. Kelly vehemently denies these allegations. His ex-wife made the same claim years ago, which was investigated by the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services and found to be unfounded. And the ‘filmmakers,’ whoever they are, have did not reach out to Mr. Kelly or his team to even allow him to deny these hurtful allegations.” she told the press on his behalf.

The news comes just a week after another clip from “Karma” gained traction online, in which Buku detailed her broken relationship with her superstar father.

“No one wants to be the child of the father who is out here hurting women and children. He knows exactly why we can’t have the relationship with him that we would like.” She said before passing on: “I really feel like that one millisecond completely changed my entire life. If my [future] My son asks questions, I will be as honest as possible. And I won’t take my son to prison to meet his grandfather.”

Episode 1 of “Karma” is streaming now.
