The Giants’ Brian Daboll was clearly frustrated with Malik Nabers over the concert drama

For the second straight year, the NY Giants will have to try to get a win without star wide receiver Malik Nabers on the field. Brian Daboll announced that his first-round pick, who suffered a concussion in Week 4, has officially been ruled out.

Since Nabers suffered his head injury more than two weeks ago, it remains a bit surprising that he is not yet cleared to play. His status in Week 7 is currently unknown. Unfortunately, Nabers is making some headlines here too because he attended a Travis Scott concert earlier this week.

For someone recovering from a concussion and still not being released, a loud, stadium-packed concert probably wasn’t the best place for the youngster. Daboll was asked what he thought about Nabers attending the show. From our chair it seems like he said quite a bit, even though he only used a few words:

If you watch this clip, you can see that Daboll was not happy with Nabers’ decision. Unfortunately, a lot of the headlines are now focused on him attending the concert instead of focusing on Big Blue playing for SNF against Cincy and having a chance to improve to 3-3 on the year.

As of today, the Giants are 2-3 and have a great chance to reach .500 by the end of the weekend. The Bengals are loaded with talent, but they are 1-4 this year as their defense has been poor through the first five games of 2024.

Without Nabers in Seattle, the Giants were able to defeat the Seahawks thanks to strong performances from Daniel Jones and Darius Slayton. Slayton had 122 yards and a touchdown. He is once again seen as Jones’ prime-time target. Nabers is expected to be back at MetLife on Sunday night to support his teammates, but we know for sure he won’t be playing.
