A Winona man pleads guilty to rioting in a stabbing

WINONA, Minn. (KTTC) — Larry Hudson, 40, who allegedly stabbed two 23-year-olds outside a Winona bar on March 14, pleaded guilty Thursday to a charge of third-degree rioting.

In March 2024, Hudson allegedly started arguments with several bar patrons in Winona, which later escalated when a knife was produced and two 23-year-olds were stabbed.

Hudson was originally charged with second-degree assault, second-degree rioting with a dangerous weapon and third-degree rioting.

On Thursday, Hudson pleaded guilty to the third-degree riot charge and asked that the other two charges be dismissed.

Sentencing is scheduled for January 9, 2025.
