Fair Haven woman charged with simple assault

FAIR HAVEN – A local woman was arrested Oct. 11 following an investigation into an alleged assault last month, Fair Haven police reported.

Laura Notarino, 53, was taken into custody after police responded to a report of an attempted assault on Main Street on Sept. 14.

According to authorities, Notarino is accused of threatening another person with a hammer.

The Fair Haven Police Department, led by Ptl. Tyler Duel initiated an investigation that ultimately led to Notarino’s arrest.

She was charged with simple assault and released on a summons to appear in Rutland District Court to face the charges.

No further details about the incident were released and no photo of Notarino was available at the time of her arrest.
