Lawsuit over Angelo Quinto’s death, which is ruled an accident, could be dismissed by the judge

Quinto, a 30-year-old Marine veteran, was experiencing a mental health emergency at his home on Dec. 23, 2020, when his family called police after he began acting paranoid and agitated, according to a separate civil rights lawsuit filed by Quinto his family.

According to the family, two officers arrived and found Quinto in his mother’s arms, pulled him from her grasp and threw him on his stomach. As he did so, Quinto shouted, “Please don’t kill me,” at least twice, the claim states.

The officers crossed Quinto’s legs behind him and took turns kneeling on his neck, the claim says, adding that he began bleeding from his mouth after nearly five minutes of being restrained.
