Harvey police are investigating a burglary and shooting

HARVEY, N.D. (KMOT) – According to police in Harvey, a homeowner shot and killed a suspected burglar early Friday morning.

According to a report from Harvey Police Chief John Foss, police responded to a break-in and shooting at a residence on Brewster Street E just after 3:30 a.m

The report states that the suspect, who was on probation, was shot by the homeowner during the break-in.

Foss says the suspect was airlifted to the hospital and his status is unclear.

The chief could not comment on whether charges will be filed because it is an ongoing investigation.

The identity of the homeowner and the suspected burglar have not been released.
