Pineville Police are warning the public about new phone scams

PINEVILLE, La. (CALF) – Pineville police issued a warning that scammers are calling residents and claiming a loved one has been in an accident. The scammers ask for personal details and information.

PPD said legitimate officers would never ask you for sensitive information over the phone.

If you receive a suspicious call, you are asked to report it to Pineville Police.
