New Delhi: A 28-year-old food delivery man was stabbed six times by four men in New Delhi Vijay Vihar on Thursday, resulting in his death. Police said the murder was the result of an argument over a friend.
The deceased was identified as Deepak. He lived with his family in Vijay Vihar, Rohini. On Wednesday at 5:20 p.m., police received a PCR call alerting emergency services to an accident stabbing near Nirankari Bhawan in Rohini.
A police team that reached the scene found a man lying in a pool of blood. People nearby had gathered. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. A murder case has been registered.
During the investigation, the police discovered that four people were involved in the crime. “On the day of the incident, Deepak was riding his motorcycle on a road near his house when he was ambushed by the men, who stabbed him half a dozen times and fled,” an official said.
Further investigation revealed that Deepak had a criminal history in the past.
