A Norfolk man pleaded guilty to attempted grand larceny, assault and battery in Northampton District Court on Tuesday.

Darelle LeMart Biddle, 37, of Bainbridge Boulevard was initially charged with attempted robbery by physical force on December 7, 2022. That charge was reduced to grand larceny, which is a lesser felony. An attendance report was ordered. Sentencing was scheduled for Dec. 16.

Biddle previously pleaded not guilty and requested a jury trial. He complained about his lawyer at the time, saying, “I felt kind of pressured into the plea deal. “I don’t understand going to prison when I was just trying to help someone.” He appeared Tuesday with one new lawyer.
