A 13-year-old from Jackson County has died after what the sheriff’s office calls a farming accident.

The sheriff’s office says it happened last week in the city of Manchester. Officers said the teenager was “inundated by crops” and needed to be rescued. The 13-year-old later died. The sheriff’s office says it is investigating and has not said exactly how the teen fell into the grain pile where he was found.
