7-year-old robbed; Mother attacked in Mount Eden

A child was robbed and his mother attacked in Mount Eden, police said.

According to police, a woman snatched money from the 7-year-old boy’s hand as he tried to pay for fruit at a store on Jerome Avenue.

According to police, when the child’s mother intervened, she was struck in the face and required treatment for her injuries.

The attacker remains at large and anyone with information is asked to call the police.
