According to police, the third teenager was arrested in Athens for murder in May

A 15-year-old, Keanthony Sorrells, was arrested Oct. 9 for his alleged involvement in the May 27 fatal shooting of Cameron Manago.

The arrest was conducted by the Athens-Clarke County Police Department (ACCPD) in collaboration with the FBI Safe Streets Task Force.

Sorrells is charged with, among other things, first-degree murder, aggravated murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault and gang violence.

Sorrells is the third person arrested in connection with this murder.

According to Athens-Clarke County Police, a man was found shot at the Rolling Ridge Apartments around 10:25 p.m. on May 27. The man, later identified as Manago, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Zyquavious Thomas, 16, was arrested at the time and charged with aggravated murder, attempted armed robbery and aggravated assault. Despite his age, Thomas was charged as an adult.

On June 14, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department arrested 18-year-old Janiya Moore of Athens. Moore was charged with aggravated murder and tampering with evidence.
