Sexual Assault: Ahmedabad Trader Accused of Sexual Assault, Dowry Demands |

Ahmedabad: Bodakdev Police on Wednesday lodged a complaint against a 27-year-old man staying in a shared house on Judges Bungalow Road for allegedly sexually harassing his 26-year-old wife and demanding a dowry of Rs 40 lakh.
In her complaint, the complainant stated that she married the man, who runs a grocery and vegetable shop from an APMC in the city, in 2022. She has been in a relationship with him since 2015.
She claimed that soon after her marriage, her husband started arguing with her over trivial issues. She stated that her husband often penetrated her with various objects during sex, although she never gave her consent.
She further claimed that it gave her husband pleasure when she felt pain during these unusual sexual activities. She also claimed he forced her to have sex with his boyfriend and when she refused, he brutally beat her.
The woman alleged in her complaint that her husband forced her to have an abortion before her marriage and when she objected, he beat her severely.
Inspector RN Vinchhi of Bodakdev police said the complainant had also alleged that her husband had demanded a dowry of Rs 40 lakh from her. Bodakdev police have filed a sexual harassment complaint domestic violence against her husband and started an investigation.
