Victoria’s Secret Show returns, set for October 15th in New York

After a five-year absence, the Victoria’s Secret angels return to the runway and New York subway maps turn pink. The Big Apple’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority has announced it will issue 50,000 commemorative Metrocards at select train stations starting October 10.

The iconic Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will take place in New York on October 15th and will be visible worldwide on social media for the first time. It will also air on the Amazon Live channel at 6:30 p.m. local time.

The grand return will feature historic models and angels like Tyra Banks, Gigi Hadid and Taylor Hill. “It’s crazy to be back on the Victoria’s Secret runway,” Banks said in a video shared by the American lingerie brand, “I mean, absolutely crazy.”

In 2019, the annual show was canceled following various controversies, particularly regarding the cult of physicality of its models. Victoria’s Secret announced the return last May, promising that “the show will reflect who we are today, beyond glamour, wings, runway, music and spectacle.”
