“Another witness described that the defendant was sitting at a desk in the classroom and suddenly stood up and ran toward the victim as she entered the classroom and stabbed her multiple times,” the affidavit states.

Investigators found a handwritten note Sloan’s backpack apparently contained a reference to an act she “intended to commit,” but it “did not specifically state what it was referring to.”

“After reading her Miranda rights, the defendant admitted that she came to class to hurt someone and had been planning the attack since the night before.”

Sloan also allegedly expressed a desire to “hurt someone” in class that day in an interview with investigators after the incident and targeted Daffron because she was “an easier target” than the other person she apparently wanted to attack and who referred to her as “a veteran.”
