This tragic incident highlights ongoing concerns about child safety and violence against minors in Ludhiana and is leading to calls for stricter protective measures within communities. The incident has also highlighted the need to educate children about strangers and teach them to stay away from unknown people and not to accept gifts or sweets as these could be the tricks of sexual predators.
There is also the need to monitor the children’s play areas, especially in crowded neighborhoods or working areas where there are no daycare centers and therefore the poor working-class parents have to leave their children unsupervised at home in order to be able to go out and earn their daily bread, and these unsupervised children are at risk.
