The suspects got back on the scooter when they saw the police patrol cars arrive. The company vehicle suffered a smashed driver’s door window, a knocked out driver’s door lock and a damaged ignition. There was approximately $6,500 worth of tools and equipment in the work van.

The investigating officers seized a backpack from the suspects that contained various burglary tools, flashlights and a car jack. It was also confirmed that the Honda scooter operated by Ayala was stolen in Stamford.
