Hoda Kotb shares a rare health update for daughter Hope after previous scare

Hoda Kotb made a rare comment about her youngest daughter, Hopewho was in intensive care for almost a week in February 2023.

Although Kotb has kept many details about her daughter’s medical emergency, hospitalization and continued care private, she said People, “She’s doing better, we’re monitoring her, and I think with time we’ll get a better handle on it.”

As for who might replace her, she wasn’t ready to make any predictions, but offered some advice: “Whoever is interested in that spot, and it might be the best spot on TV, I think the best.” Advice I have is to do it 1,000 percent who you are, because that’s really the key.”

“And the other thing for me sometimes is that part of the magic is enjoying the person sitting next to you,” she added. “It’s such a small thing, but sometimes when you’re with someone you just let them shine. Give everyone a second, because who wants to be the person at the cocktail party who talks all the time?”
