Accident on Audubon Pkwy East sends one to the hospital

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – According to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), an accident involving a semi-truck and a car occurred around 7:50 a.m

According to HCSO, someone passing the wreckage called emergency medical services and the car rear-ended the tractor-trailer. Officials say they are not sure what caused the accident because the driver was in too much pain. Officials said she was screaming because of an open fracture of a lower extremity and has since been transferred to Owensboro Health.

Police officials say the car was totaled and the driver of the tractor-trailer was a man. A few minutes after 9:15 a.m. the highway cleared up

Other agencies that responded to the accident included the Niagara Fire Department and the Henderson County EMA.
