Ex-Billerica police officer charged with child rape, prosecutor says

A former Billerica police officer has been charged after telling another officer that he had an intimate relationship with a teenager, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan’s office said.

A grand jury in Middlesex has indicted Alexander Allen, 35, on charges of aggravated rape of a child with a 10-year age difference and possession of child pornography, Ryan’s office said in a statement released Wednesday.

“The charges are based on allegations that he had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old female victim who was known to him,” Ryan’s office said.
