Homicide investigation underway after woman dies from multiple stab wounds in Sparks

A murder investigation is underway after a woman died after being stabbed at a home in Sparks last week.

Officers responded to the 1600 block of Chatterley Lane on Oct. 3 for a report of a disturbance. Police found two people with stab wounds who were taken to hospital.

The Washoe County Coroner’s Office said 60-year-old Juli A. Cooper was taken to Renown, where she died of her injuries the next day.

The coroner’s office stated that the manner of death was a homicide and that the cause of death was multiple stab wounds.

Sparks police said when the stabbing occurred everyone was accounted for and there were no other suspects, but they did not provide any additional information about the incident.
