The James Webb Space Telescope observes a frozen, comet-like object that fires jets of gas

With the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), scientists have observed jets of primordial gas from the time when the solar system was formed being ejected from a distant comet-like object called Centaur.

The observations provide clues to how this centaur and others came to be, what they are made of, and how they eventually become full-fledged beings Cometsthe research team said in a study published in the journal Nature.
