Asia Pioneer Entertainment welcomes its first female director on board

Asia Pioneer Entertainment Holdings (APE) has announced the appointment of Maria Garcia as its first female director since listing in Hong Kong in 2017.

Garcia has been on board since the end of September and is responsible for the growth and development of the gaming equipment company not only in Macau, but also in Southeast Asia.

Prior to joining APE, she worked in public relations and event management for more than 17 years, gaining extensive experience planning and coordinating events in Macau, Hong Kong and China.

Garcia joined APE in 2006 as a sales manager. She held this position for six years before exploring different roles in the gaming industry and starting her own company.

In 2020 she returned to APE as a management consultant. She returned to her previous role as Head of Sales Segment until December 2022.

Commenting on her new position, Garcia said the last few years have been “challenging for the company, particularly due to the impact of the global pandemic.”

“I am proud of our resilience and the progress we have made together during these times. In my new role, I am committed to making full use of my strengths to address future opportunities and challenges together with APE and work towards a bright and successful future,” she added.
