Six people were injured in a terrorist knife attack on Gitit Street in Hadera at midday on Wednesday. The incident occurred at three different locations in the city.

The stabber fled, but was subsequently caught and taken into custody. Israeli police were forced to repel citizens who sought to immediately seek justice at the scene.

Two men, ages 50 and 30, were in critical condition at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera. Three of the victims were in serious condition and a man in his 70s arrived with moderate injuries, a hospital spokesman said.

“This is a complex event that spans multiple scenes,” said Magen David Adom EMT Viki Kelly.

“We treated several injured people in varying conditions, some of whom were in serious condition. We provided life-saving medical treatment and began transport to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center.”

After initial questions about the background to the incident, the Israeli police confirmed that the knife attack was indeed a terrorist attack.
