What to know before the Plaza Art Fair: weather, hours, parking, entertainment

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The 93rd annual Plaza Art Fair returns to Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza this weekend, bringing hundreds of artists and thousands of people to the area.

The Plaza Art Fair takes place September 20-22 and is a popular celebration of art, food, culture and music.

The art fair is open this weekend at the following times:

Weather

It’s a good idea to bring a raincoat and umbrella to the art fair this year.

Rain and storms will move through the KC metro this weekend, with a higher chance of storms Saturday morning and throughout the day Sunday.

The temperatures are getting hot! Expect highs in the low to mid 90s Friday, highs in the 80s Saturday and lows in the 70s Sunday.

Traffic and parking

If you visit the Plaza this weekend, expect more traffic and road closures than normal.

Portions of Nichols Road, Ward Parkway, Pennsylvania Avenue, Broadway and Central Street will remain closed to traffic for exhibition stands.
