Woman killed in crash in Ashland, Greene County

Greene County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a fatal accident.

According to the sheriff’s department, the accident occurred between a U.S. postal vehicle and a car.

It happened in Ashland, on County Route 10 near Sutton Hollow Road.

Gina Hernandez, 63, was driving the postal vehicle eastbound around 1:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon and collided with a car driven by a 17-year-old boy. The postal vehicle overturned.

Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 17-year-old was taken to Columbia Memorial Hospital.
