Spring Grove man found dead after house fire

SPRING GROVE, Minn. (KTTC) – No foul play is suspected in the death of Karl Onstad, 62, following a house fire Monday afternoon in Spring Grove.

According to the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, the fire was reported at the home on 2nd Ave. around 2:15 p.m. NW reported.

Shortly after arriving at the scene, emergency responders found Onstad in the burning house.

Authorities said the autopsy was completed Tuesday; However, no results have been published.

The Houston County Sheriff’s Office, the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office are still investigating.
