Free live entertainment complements the festive 10-day Stifel Birds of Prey World Cup events

The Vail Valley Foundation issued the following press release Monday regarding all free entertainment during the back-to-back World Cup ski weekends at the Stifel Birds of Prey races at Beaver Creek in December:

During back-to-back World Cup ski weekends at Stifel Birds of Prey, Beaver Creek VillageCEL will be filled with free live music.

On Friday, December 6th, after the men’s downhill race at 4 p.m., the Yonder Mountain String Band will take to the CELSIUS Essential Vibes Stage to kick off a weekend of live music that coincides with the annual return of the Audi FIS Alpine Ski Men’s World Cup Tour coincides at Beaver Creek Resort.

The Women’s World Cup race weekend heats up from Wednesday, December 11 to Sunday, December 15 at Stranahan’s Music Stage with performances from Grace Bowers & the Hodge Podge, Eggy and Talking Heads tribute band HeartByrne.

“Our goal is to create a community event that complements the best ski racers in the world with world-class entertainment for the whole family,” said Tom Horrocks, head of media for Stifel Birds of Prey. “This year we are extremely fortunate to be hosting back-to-back events with men’s and women’s racing at the Stifel Birds of Prey. Therefore, we are taking the opportunity to host a robust 10-day festival around the entire event. and live music plays an important role in creating a festive atmosphere throughout Beaver Creek Village.”
