Teen charged in connection with mass shooting at MLK Park

ROCHESTER, NY – A teenager has been arrested in connection with this summer’s mass shooting at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park charged.

The 16-year-old suspect was arrested on Remington Street on July 21, where officers found him in possession of a loaded Glock handgun, according to police. He was originally taken to the Monroe County Children’s Center where he faced only a single charge of criminal possession of a weapon.

However, during the investigation, police discovered that the same recovered handgun had also been fired in the MLK Park shooting that left six people injured.
