How LA Law, Friends and Grey’s Anatomy fueled the drama on the October 8th Days of Our Lives

On the Tuesday, October 8 episode of Days of Our Lives, it was once again a very special day for the body and soul. Kate, Abe and Leo prepared to send Hattie’s character, Charlemagne Delacroix, down the elevator shaft while Alex and Stephanie got hot and heavy in a hospital room. These scenes channeled classic and current TV juggernauts to drive the Bs drama.

Hattie (Deidre Hall) ducked into a corner. All her maneuvers to throw Bonnie (Judi Evans) to the side of the road failed. Ultimately, she was the one who quit her job.

And so they were at the hospital, ready to film Hattie’s death scene, which included a blatant nod to the classic television story. Leo (Greg Rikaart) even said that. Apparently the show had to explain itself just before Hattie…
