Davante Adams skips the Kay Adams show as the Raiders’ trade drama boils over

According to Kay Adams, there’s a lot going on in the world of Davante Adams.

The Raiders’ star wide receiver, who requested an exchange from Las Vegas last week, will miss his appearance Tuesday on her FanDuel TV show “Up and Adams” as the sweepstakes heats up for the six-time Pro Bowler.

“Oh man, there’s a lot going on with our man Adams right now… he won’t be there TOMORROW. Sorry and stay tuned,” Kay wrote on X shortly after promoting his Tuesday segment in a separate post.

Adams, 31, has yet to address his absence from the show, but Kay’s message, which included a wide-eyed emoji, made the situation even more tense.

This comes after Adams made headlines last week through a separate appearance on the “Up and Adams Show” when he said he had not heard from Raiders coach Antonio Pierce after an online screenshot showed Pierce’s Instagram Account may have liked a social media post trading with Adams.

Kay asked Adams directly about the situation, which he said was “hard” to comment on.

“I’m going to keep my head down and keep doing my thing and let the chips fall where they may,” the All-Pro wideout said. “But there has been no communication with anyone from the team since this (post) became a thing. It’s a bit like the weekly “What’s wrong with Tae?” thing.

“There’s always some sort of drama but at the end of the day 17 (his uniform number) doesn’t create any of it so people can say whatever they want. But I just relax and try to be the mantra to not stir up the situation, just go with it and do what I have to do.”

Last week, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Raiders had informed other teams that they would “consider” trading Adams for a package that would include a second-round pick and additional compensation.

Adams has been linked to the Jets and Saints, where his former quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Derek Carr are each currently battling injuries.

Rodgers told reporters that he has a lower ankle sprain following Gang Green’s 23-17 loss to Minnesota at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on Sunday.

Carr will undergo an MRI on Tuesday after leaving Monday’s 26-13 loss to the Chiefs with an oblique injury in the fourth quarter.

Meanwhile, the Jets are experiencing their own upheaval as they fired head coach Robert Saleh on Tuesday morning after a 2-3 start.

Adams missed the Raiders’ last two games with a hamstring injury – the Raiders’ 20-16 win over the Browns on Sept. 29 and a loss to the Broncos (34-18) on Oct. 6.

The Raiders (2-3) face the Steelers (3-2) on Sunday in Las Vegas.
