General election information for the communities of Fountain Hills, Fort McDowell and Verde

The Arizona general election date is Tuesday, November 5th, but there are plenty of dates and information to keep in mind for the final weeks leading up to Election Day.

Registered voters on the early voting list will have ballots mailed to them. Those voters should receive their ballots in the mail by the end of the week or early next week. Beginning Wednesday, October 9, ballot drop boxes will be available at various locations, including one at the Fountain Hills Town Hall.

The last day a registered voter can request early voting is Friday, October 25, and the last day they can receive the ballot back in the mail to ensure it is delivered to the elections department by Election Day will be Tuesday, October 29th.

For those who wish to return their ballot in person, the early voting drop box at Fountain Hills City Hall is available during normal business hours, Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Election Day, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m

Fountain Hills vote center locations for the general election include Fountains United Methodist Church, 15300 Fountain Hills Blvd. This site will be open Friday, October 25th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, October 26; 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 28th to Friday, November 1st; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, November 2; 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday, November 4th, and 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Election Day, Tuesday, November 5th.

The Fountain Hills Community Center, 13001 La Montana Drive, will be open for voting on Monday, November 4th, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Election Day, November 5, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Cornerstone Family Church, 10215 Saguaro Blvd. will be open for voting on Monday, November 4th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Election Day, Tuesday, November 5th from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Ballot drop boxes are available at all of the above locations during business hours.

In Fort McDowell, the polling place at the Fort McDowell Recreation Center, 16402 N. Fort McDowell Road, will be open only on Election Day, November 5, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m

In Verde Communities, the voting location is at the Rio Verde Community Center, 18816 E. Four Peaks Blvd., and will be open Monday, Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Election Day from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. November 5th.

Voters can check their registration status and other election information, including ballot tracking, at beballotready.vote. The city has created a voter information website at fountainhillsaz.gov/821/voterinformation—generalelection-2024.

Voters may also cast a mail-in ballot or drop off their ballot at any vote center in Maricopa County during the election period. Locations are listed at elections.maricopa.gov/voting.
