The public is asked to avoid the area as Mesa Police respond to the shooting

MESA, AZ (AZFamily) – Police are responding to a shooting in Mesa, details not yet available.

Officers responded to the shooting near McKellips Road and Center Street just before 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Center Street is closed to traffic in this area. Eastbound and westbound traffic is limited to McKellips.

The public is asked to avoid the entire area and the scene is very active in law enforcement.

This is not information about injuries reported in this shooting.
