Red Dead Redemption is finally coming to PC, 14 years after its original release

Fourteen years after debuting on PS3 and Xbox 360 and endless rumors later, finally comes to PC. It will be available on October 29th on the Rockstar Store, Steam and the Epic Games Store Undead nightmare Standalone extension included.

Developer Double Eleven helped Rockstar with the port, which features many of the bells and whistles you’d expect from a PC version of a classic. Rockstar says RDR runs at up to 144 Hz (unfortunately no unlocked frame rates) in a native 4K resolution if you have the appropriate hardware. There’s support for HDR 10 as well as ultrawide (21:9) and super ultrawide (32:9) monitors. You can also play with keyboard and mouse.

Upscaling technology in the form of NVIDIA DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3 is supported. This also applies to NVIDIA DLSS frame generation, adjustable character spacing, shadow quality settings, and other things that would sound like newfangled gibberish to John Marston.

Rock star but it is the PC version that many people have been waiting for for a long time. I can’t wait to see what modders do with it.
