Grand Island man convicted of sexual assault, 60 sentenced to life in prison

Grand Island, Nebraska — A Grand Island man has been convicted of first-degree sexual assault of a child.

Domingo Bautista, 46, was convicted of first-degree sexual assault of a child ages 12 to 15 — a life sentence of 60 years with 307 days served.

Bautista was arrested last December after Grand Island police alerted a Grand Island middle school after a girl under the age of 13 reported she had been sexually abused.

According to an affidavit, a pregnancy test was administered by the First Light Advocacy Center and later came back positive.
