Tragic KSRTC bus accident claims one life and many injured

A KSRTC bus carrying around 50 passengers was involved in an accident near Thiruvambady here on Tuesday in which a woman died and several others were injured, police said.

The bus crashed into a stone wall on the side of the road and plunged into a nearby stream, they said.

The incident occurred around 2 p.m., police said, adding that all the injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals.

According to the images from the accident scene, the bus was overturned on the bank of the stream with its front part submerged in the water.
