Lucy Dacus reveals that Julien Baker’s show in New York is canceled due to illness during the performance

After three dates at Thalia Hall in Chicago, Julien Baker headed on tour to the newly opened venue The Atlantis in Washington, DC, where she was joined on stage by Bartees Strange. Last night, in the middle of her performance at Webster Hall in New York, Lucy Dacus appeared on stage and revealed that Baker was ill and could not continue the performance.

“Julien stormed off the stage, feeling sick and vomiting. I just got permission from her to tell you all. So you know something is really happening,” Dacus revealed. “So the show will not go on. She can’t just – you know. Nobody here wants that. Thank you for your understanding. She’s already wondering, ‘What can we do for these people?’ So know that you’re in your thoughts and that she wanted to walk out of here shaking and finish the show.”

Baker has confirmed that her show tonight at Brooklyn Steel will go ahead as planned.
