A stabbing and assault are under investigation in Taylorsville

Taylorsville police are investigating two incidents from last weekend that included a stabbing and an assault.

On Saturday (October 5), a male victim was stabbed in the chest. He was flown to a regional medical facility. No update on the victim’s condition was released as of late Monday (October 7). Taylorsville Police Chief Michael Millsaps said the investigation is ongoing but did not confirm whether there was a suspect or person of interest.

Another male victim was beaten with a baseball bat on Saturday. According to Millsaps, the victim refused medical treatment. No further details were released.
