1 child and 1 adult injured in shooting on Chicago’s Far South Side

CHICAGO (CBS) – Two people were shot, one of them a child, in the West Pullman neighborhood on Monday evening.

The shooting occurred at 116th Street and Yale Avenue.

Fire officials said an adult was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and a child was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital at the University of Chicago. Both were in serious to critical condition.

The exact ages of the victims were not immediately available.
