Woman charged with murder in ‘targeted’ knife attack in Surrey

The suspect in the stabbing of a 40-year-old woman in Surrey now faces a second-degree murder charge.

On September 8, just after 2 a.m., Surrey RCMP were called to the scene of a pedestrian hit accident, where an unconscious but breathing woman was found. Police determined that the woman was not actually hit by a vehicle, but actually had stab wounds and was wearing clothing covered in blood.

Jennifer Kipp, 36, was arrested by police shortly after being called to the scene at 108 Avenue and King George Boulevard and charged the same day with assault with a weapon and aggravated assault. Police said the stabbing was targeted.

The victim died of his injuries in hospital on September 13th.

On Thursday (October 3), Kipp was charged with second-degree murder and remains in custody, according to an updated statement from police.

According to Court Services Online, Kipp is expected to appear in court on October 11.
