Many sexually charged scenes are cut from Kumawood films

According to Mercy Asiedu, Kumawood filmmakers usually remove sexually charged scenes from their films.

She spoke with Nana Romeo on Accra 100.5 FM’s morning show Ayekoo Ayekoo.

“Our main goal is education,” she said. “Don’t forget that these are not just adults, but children too. That’s why we cut some things out so it doesn’t negatively impact kids watching.”

“We kiss a lot behind the scenes in the film,” the Kumawood star revealed.

Mercy Asiedu also stated that she has never turned down a film role.

She also revealed that TV star Akrobeto is her favorite male actor of all time.
