Retailers are starting holiday shopping earlier than ever, which could mean big savings this month. Consumer Reports highlights products with deep discounts to help you start the holiday shopping season.

Target will kick things off with its Circle Week sale from October 6th to 12th, Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days will take place on October 8th and 9th, and Best Buy’s Flash Sale will take place on October 8th and 9th and Walmart’s Holiday Deals event is October 8th through October 13th.

You may not get Black Friday prices, but you can make your purchases early and not worry about items selling out.

Now might be the best time to update your smartphone. The Samsung Z Fold5 sells for just $1,399 on Amazon. The Samsung foldable phone has passed CR tests for camera quality, performance and usability.

Next, the perfect gift for a music lover. Sony’s wireless noise-canceling earbuds are available at Walmart starting at just $244.99. CR’s expert audio testers say these headphones offer excellent active noise cancellation and excellent sound quality.

Now a gift for the coffee lover. The Melitta coffee maker costs $250 on Amazon.

With the windows closed during the colder months, use an air purifier to keep the air in your home cleaner. The Blueair Blue Pure 411i Max is only $119.99. at Amazon and Best Buy.

One expensive item not to buy in October is a television. You should wait until Black Friday as this is the absolute best time to get the best price.

If you’re looking for something different this month, chainsaws, snow blowers, leaf blowers, thermostats and ranges are all on sale at a deep discount in October, according to Consumer Reports.
