Police release video of a man seen with the victim before the fatal shooting in Houston

Houston police are searching for a person in connection with the fatal shooting of a woman found in her apartment in southwest Houston.

Kenya Guardado Molina, 27, was found around 8:55 a.m. Oct. 1 in her apartment in the 9898 block of Forum Park Drive.

According to Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective R. Lujan of the Houston Police Department’s Homicide Unit, family members became concerned after not hearing from Guardado Molina and learning that she had not picked up her child from the babysitter.

On Tuesday morning they broke into her apartment and discovered her body. She had suffered at least one gunshot wound.

Authorities have released surveillance video showing a man, described as a person of interest, walking with the victim on the way to her apartment on the morning of Sept. 30. Police are asking the public for help in identifying this man.
