Man dies from self-inflicted gunshot after shooting wife in Stephenson

STEPHENSON (WLUK) — Authorities say two people have died in Marinette County after a man shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself.

At 5:13 p.m. Sunday, dispatch received a call from a man who said he shot his wife multiple times at an address on S. 5th Street in the Town of Stephenson.

The woman, identified as Erica Noble of Crivitz, was taken away from the scene by another party. She later died from her injuries.

Officers, the Marinette County Special Response Team, Crisis Negotiations and the drone team responded to the scene and established a perimeter around the residence.

It was reported that the suspect, Troy Noble, was still inside and armed.

Officers attempted to contact Noble but were unsuccessful.

During the incident, Noble left the apartment and died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The case remains under investigation.
