Over 150 maritime experts shape the expanded conference and exhibition area of the International WorkBoat Show

The International Workboat Showthe premier event for the commercial shipping industry, will return November 12-14, 2024 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. This year’s show promises a line-up of industry leaders and cutting-edge discussions with over 150 speakers, including more than 75 experts from the main stage and WorkBoat’s Maritime Innovations program, which make up the WorkBoat Show conference program.

Aimed at professionals seeking technical insights, the Maritime Innovations program is a brand new initiative for the WorkBoat Show. This program includes two dedicated classrooms, each dedicated to in-depth discussions of safety and survival, boat building, repair and dry docking, materials, equipment and systems, and electrical components and navigation.

“The Maritime Innovation Program is an incredible opportunity for anyone who wants to stay at the forefront of industry trends,” said Jess Eames, conference manager. “We have made a concerted effort to introduce people and projects that go beyond what we have always done. That’s why we’re confident participants will gain valuable insights from some of the world’s most respected leaders in the field.”

Meanwhile, WorkBoat’s main stage will continue to deliver high-quality content, with sessions on critical topics such as maritime regulations, new technologies, electrification, dredging and the highly anticipated Government Maritime Acquisition Day. While the program is divided into these different sections, there are also defined conference programs for engineers and architects, shipyard project managers and ship owners and operators, to name a few. Attendees from all sectors of the maritime industry will have access to relevant and forward-looking content that defines the WorkBoat Show conference program.

The Underwater intervention The Pavilion will return for a second year and will feature technical sessions with 80 speakers, providing another level of expertise for attendees. The UI Pavilion, which will showcase even more companies and technologies, has become an important part of the exhibition floor, with over 1,000 exhibitors showcasing innovative products and solutions from almost every category of commercial shipping.

“The dynamic in this year’s exhibition hall was exceptional and we will have companies from all areas of the shipping industry on site this year,” said Lauren Streeter, event director. “We are seeing a wealth of new tools and technologies, which is why there will be great interest from both new and long-time participants.”

In addition to the exhibit hall, there will also be several special events at this year’s show, including the Women in Maritime Luncheon, the State of the Jones Act Breakfast and the Significant Boat Awards Happy Hour. These exclusive experiences are designed to foster meaningful connections, inspire insightful dialogue and showcase the groundbreaking achievements that define the WorkBoat Show.

Prices for all conference programs and exhibit hall passes will increase after October 15th. Participants are encouraged to register before this deadline to take advantage of current pricing. As of October 16, free access to the exhibition hall, where over 1,000 exhibitors showcase innovative products and solutions from almost all commercial shipping categories, will no longer be open, highlighting the need for immediate registration.
