A violent accident sends two drivers to hospital in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Two drivers were injured in a fiery crash in Slavic Village early Monday morning.

The accident happened around 1:30 a.m. at E. 55th Street and Broadway Avenue.

After the impact, a car crashed into a building and caught fire.

According to Cleveland EMS, one driver, a 50-year-old man, is in critical condition at MetroHealth Medical Center and the second driver, a 24-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and was transported to University Hospitals.

Cleveland police said the accident remains under investigation.
